FiCLA symposium "Contexts of Language: How to Analyze Context?", 10-11 December 2010 in Helsinki.

The Second Finnish-Estonian Conference on Cognitive Linguistics in Kiljava, Finland, 10-12 December, 2009. Presentations in Finnish and Estonian.

A FiCLA seminar "Kieli keskellä kognitiota IV" ('Language in the Middle of Cognition IV') was held on a ferry between Turku and Stockholm in October 2008.

A FiCLA workshop "Kognitiivinen kielentutkimus: mitä se on, mitä ei?" ('What is Cognitive Linguistics and what is it not?') in May 2008, Vaasa.

A FiCLA seminar "Kieli keskellä kognitiota III" ('Language in the Middle of Cognition III') took place in October 2007 in Turku.

Cognitivism Meets Dynamism, a workshop on semantics organized by FiCLA, took place June 14, 2005 in Espoo, Finland. The workshop was held in connection with the confence International and Interdisciplinary Conference on Adaptive Knowledge Representation and Reasoning (AKRR05) at the Helsinki University of Technology in Espoo.

2004 FiCLA seminars: "The Whole Capacity of Language" at the Helsinki University of Technology in April 2004 and "Processing and Experience" at the University of Joensuu in September 2004.

2003 FiCLA seminars: "Subjectivity in Language" and "Module Storming", both held at the University of Turku in June 2003.

2002 FiCLA seminars: "Language in the Middle of Cognition II" and "Cognitive Linguistics East of Eden", the latter held in September 2002 in collaboration with the Slavic Cognitive Linguistics Association affiliate. Both were held at the University of Turku.

A workshop The Generalization of Scientific Results, sponsored by FiCLA, was held at the University of Joensuu in 2002.

A FiCLA symposium on Linguistic Conceptualization and Context was held at the Åbo Akademi University in Turku, September 2001.

A multi-disciplinary seminar "Language in the Middle of Cognition I" , organized by FiCLA, was held aboard M/S Viking Amorella, Turku, October 2000.

FiCLA held its first annual meeting at the University of Oulu, May 2000.
