18 September 2006 - Adele Goldberg will step down as editor of Cognitive Linguistics on December 31, 2006. The board of ICLA, in agreement with the publisher of the journal, Mouton de Gruyter, has decided to entrust Ewa Dabrowska with the editorship of the official journal of our association. On behalf of ICLA, I extend my warmest congratulations to Ewa and wish her all the best for her future work at the helm of our scholarly flagship. I would like to thank Adele Goldberg for her excellent work in the past three years. Her efficient management of the editorial business of the journal has considerably speeded up the process from the submission of manuscripts to their publication. At the same time, Cognitive Linguistics has maintained its international reputation as a high quality journal.

ICLC 9
28 August 2005 - The Ninth International Cognitive Linguistics
Conference was a very efficiently organized and intellectually
stimulating event on the beautiful campus of Yonsei University, Seoul.
The various committees involved in the preparation of this conference
set a standard that will be difficult to surpass in the future! On
behalf of ICLA, I would like to seize this opportunity to thank
Conference Chair Professor Hyon-Sook Shin and her collaborators for a
very professional job and their warm hospitality, which made the
participants’ stay in Korea a memorable event. I would also like
to thank Suzanne Kemmer, who served the association for four years as
president, for her commitment to the cause of Cognitive Linguistics
and a job done extremely well! I will try my best to the follow in
her footsteps.
