[Note: Due to the cancellation of the ICLC Conference in Berkeley
scheduled for 2009, there was no Board Meeting or Assembly meeting in
2009. An election could therefore not easily be held and the Governing
Board members were asked to continue their service through the ICLC
scheduled for 2011 in Xi'an, China. This conference, to be held July
11-17, 2011, will be (re)numbered ICLC 11 and will be generally
referred to as ICLC 11, 2011.]
To Members, December 2009
Dear ICLA members,
I am writing to wish everyone a lovely holiday season at the
close of
2009 and to provide a few updates.
2010 will be a year with quite a lot of conferences with a
cognitive
linguistic orientation; see the selection of websites below. If you
are aware of other relevant upcoming conferences, please let us know,
and we will post them on the ICLA website (see
Events).
We look forward to the next ICLC conference, ICLC 11,
which
will be held July 11-17, 2011 in Xi'an, China.
Thanks to all of you for your continued support of our
organization
and our journal, which is among the most prestigious linguistics
publications in the world.
The ICLA Board wishes you happy holidays and all the best in
the New
Year.
